WHY THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE IS NECESSARY

E
ach year prospective members ask a common question. "Tell me why we need a Chamber of Commerce?" That question is usually followed with, "What will the Chamber do for me?"

I
n order to have an active, growing, area in which to live we must have an organization like the CLARKSVILLE-JOHNSON COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.

We are the place people turn when they suddenly find out that the working spouse has been transferred to our area. We answer the letters and send new families brochures on our city, school system, recreational facilities and anything else that they may request.

We are the place concerned individuals call when they need to know who sells a particular item, or to check out the type of service a business in the area gives.

When a new prospective industry wants to locate in our area, or one of our present industries need to expand, we are the place they turn for help.

The final answer to both questions is simple, the CLARKSVILLE-JOHNSON COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE does all the little detail tasks that must be done if we are to be a county in motion.

This is the reason our area is continuing to grow. We are here to see to it that our growth continues in an orderly fashion.

WHAT IS THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

It is the people .... you working together to solve the economic and socioeconomic problems of a community. People .... Business and professional primarily, and others who have a common interest and pride in their community and in the area in which it serves. The Chamber of Commerce is the vehicle that enables people to work together, to meld divergent interests in a cohesive force and to build a better community for all.
