22nd Annual Clarksville-Johnson County Chamber of Commerce Talent Contest

1. Early-bird Entry fee (October 12th) $30.00
2. Entry fee (October 13-20th) $35.00
3. Divisions are as follows:

Division I	12 years and under
Division II	13 to 18 years of age
Division III	19 years and older
Division IV	Breakthrough

4. All contestants may enter once in any/all of the following categories: 1) Musical Solo, 2) Musical Group/Duo, 3) Dance Solo, 4) Dance Group/Duo. Entry fee must be paid for each category you enter.

5. If there is more than one age division in a group, you will be placed in the division of the oldest group member.

6. Only amateur acts may enter.

7. If you won 1st place in any division the previous year, you may not enter unless you change your age division.

8.1st, 2nd, and 3rd places will be awarded in divisions I, II & III at finals based on scores of finals judges.

9. One overall winner will be chosen based on the combined scores of preliminaries and finals. Overall winner will receive $200.00.

10. Division IV - Breakthrough - Contestants who have never placed in or received prize money in a talent show before in all age categories. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places will be awarded.

11. Same day registrations will need to bring music between 2:00 and 3:00 and pre-registered contestants may bring music anytime between 2:00 and 4:00 pm to the Fine Arts Center. Contestants will be placed in order according to registration. Performance order will be set by date of entry will first entry last to perform and last registered will perform first. There will be no preliminaries.

12. Performance cannot exceed 4½ minutes and will be timed. A five (5)- point deduction penalty will be assessed for over 4½ minutes.

13. Background vocals will be allowed.

14. The number of 10's received in scoring will break ties. If 10's are the same, judges will be polled for decision. JUDGES' DECISION WILL BE FINAL.

15. If setup time is requested, two (2) minutes will be allowed.

16. Compact discs are preferred. Tapes are accepted; however, all tapes must be queued, not just rewound before each performance. A five (5)-point deduction will be taken for tapes not queued. Compact discs and tapes must be of good quality. We recommend you bring a second tape. All music should be clearly marked with contestant's name, title of music, and time.
