June 2007 |

There are only twenty one days left to Creek Fest. It has been a whirlwind year getting ready for what will become one of the best festivals in the state. There will be something for all ages. Family oriented is what this festival is all about. There will be local entertainers that will blow your socks off. If you don't believe it come hear On The Verge, The Davis Sisters, or Spit-In-Image just to name a few. Entertainers based in Arkansas include: The Happy Tymes Jazz Band, Stardust Big Band, and Still On the Hill. Don't forget to bring your dancing shoes and a comfy chair because you will definitely need them. Now you say, "What is there for the children to do?" Well let's see, those in-flatables will sure be fun. Or, they could climb to the top of the twenty foot climbing wall. Maybe even do the limbo, or Hula- hoop, go fishing, or be an artist. I bet the "creek kids" can find plenty to do. Now, don't forget to stroll through the "Creek Fest" Food Court to check out the local cuisine and get some good homemade cooking. Hey, you might also want to taste test one of the Dutch oven specialties from the Dutch Oven Exhibition. Also, don't forget to bring your pocket books to spend money with the many arts/crafts, commercial and non-profit vendors. Not only will you find things that you can't live without but gifts for all of your friends and loved ones. Let's start Sunday morning out right! Bright and early we will kick off the first Sunrise Service on the creek with our featured speaker, Donna Douglas, "Elly May Clampett" of the Beverly Hillbillies television show and individuals and groups from over fourteen Johnson County churches So, come on out to the Creek
Fest starting the evening of June 22nd and ending on Sunday, June
24th.
