Arkansas Scholars are students who make good grades, take the recommended courses, have an acceptable attendance record, and who don't drop out. It's that simple.

Why should you be an Arkansas Scholar?
*Arkansas Scholars are more likely to get a job after high school.
*Arkansas Scholars are better prepared for additional education after they graduate.
*Arkansas Scholars will have a better chance for employment and higher income throughout their careers.

Call the Clarksville-Johnson Co. Chamber of Commerce at 479-754-2340 for more information.

Arkansas Heritage Month Art Exhibit Announced

Art Waves, the Clarksville area art guild, will open an exhibit of watercolor paintings of Johnson County historic buildings and landmarks at the Chamber of Commerce in Clarksville with a reception on Friday, June 2, 2006 from 6-8.
This exhibit comes from a 5 day workshop conducted by Shela Parsons, an intentionally known artist who has instructed and shown her paintings in several European and South American countries and across the United States.
Funded through a grant from the Arkansas Arts Commission, this recent workshop was held in Clarksville and was attended by 119 students of CJH School and area adult artists.
The public is invited to attend the reception and meet the artists who created this exhibit.
