The Chamber offers a variety of networking events that we encourage members to take advantage of to help bring people to your door.
Business After Hours is a monthly program where members get together on a casual basis to meet and greet. It takes place at a different business location each time so there is an additional opportunity to bring a lot of people right to you in a short amount of time. BAH is a monthly networking event held the 3rd Thursday of each month from 5:00pm-6:30pm hosted by Chamber members themselves. Limit of one per month so reserve your event early.
We host quarterly Membership Luncheons for members to stay in touch with each other and their Chamber. Typically the speaker is someone at the state or regional level giving a presentation on a hot button issue that is currently impacting, or will in the future, the business or at-large community.
In today’s day and age it’s not all about handshakes and meetings. Social Media can be a powerful business networking tool that can create bigger brand awareness, attract new customers and increase revenues. Expand your posts’ reach to nearly 3,000 followers by commenting or being shared on the Chamber’s social media platforms; Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and Twitter.
And be sure to sign up for one of our frequent business workshops. We typically devote one per year on how to build your business through social media.
There are other benefits to getting involved at Chamber events as well. You can win through our Attendance Incentive Drawing. At each event a name is drawn for a chance to win. Each one of our events has a company sponsor and the sponsorship fee goes into the incentive drawing prize money. If the person of the name drawn isn’t present, the money carries over to the next event and the new sponsor fee is added. Additionally the business hosting the event typically have drawings and giveaways of their promotional items. It definitely pays to attend.
The annual Chamber Awards Dinner, Johnson County's largest networking event. This is a celebratory event to recognize businesses and community leaders who are making a difference in our community. There are awards for a multitude of categories (community pride, outstanding customer service, corporate business, tourism, small business, etc.) and winners are based on nominations from their peers.
The Ambassadors Program. Promote your business by having someone from your organization represent your company as an ambassador. Our ambassadors are on the front lines of business interactions and make appearances as well as calls and visits to other businesses on behalf of the Chamber.
