Mayor
The City of Knoxville is located in the
southeastern section of Johnson County
Arkansas, on Highway 64 and Interstate 40.
Knoxville is a small community in the
Arkansas River Valley that is rapidly
growing with a population of approximately
511.
Located within our community complex you
will find the Knoxville Community
Building, City Hall, and the Knoxville
Water Department. Knoxville Rural Fire
Department Station #1, which houses 4 Fire
Trucks manned by 15 volunteer
firefighters, is located next to our City
Complex. The city is in the process of
building Fire Station #2.
There
are approximately 13 commercial/industrial
firms, 1 large family diner, 2 convenience
stores, a Flea Market, 4 churches, 1 day
care, a photography studio and a Post
Office located in our area.
Knoxville
City Park is located in town with a play
area, picnic area, restrooms, basketball
court and walking track.
Cabin
Creek Recreation Area boat launch on the
beautiful Arkansas River, Big Piney Creek,
Flat Rock Recreaton boat launch, and Piney
Bay Recreation with boat launch and
swimming/camping area are all located
within just a few miles of
town.
The
Knoxville Fire Department has an Annual
Fish Fry to help raise needed funds for
the Fire Department. This is always held
in the spring of the year with a large
community turn-out.
Our
city is a nice place to live with a
friendly atmosphere. We invite you to
