Walton Post 22 was chartered in February 1919
and has been serving Veterans and Active Duty
service members and their families. Programs
include, Flags to schools, Boys state war on
drugs, Poster contest, Flags on Main St., Sponsor
Cub Scout Pack 276, Veterans Day Parade, and
the program following the parade by free chili
dinner.
ABI
provides every drop of blood needed by patients
in 16 hospitals in Western Arkansas and Eastern
Oklahoma including Johnson Regional Medical
Center.ABI is the12th largest independent
non-profit blood center in the nation. ABI
has benefit plans which are automatically
provided to blood donors and their tax
dependents. These
benefits are also available to groups who
host blood drives. Call

Youth Development Center. They provide diverse
activities that meet the interests of all
young people ages
6-18. For just $10.00 bi-annual the doors
are open to members M-F 3-7pm during school
year and 12noon to 6pm during summer months.
Needy
Paws Animal Shelter is an extention of the
Humane Society of Johnson County. They are
a non-profit organization relying on memberships,
donations, and volunteers of our local communities
& animal lovers. They handle Animal Control
for the city limits of Clarksville and Lamar.
They are partnered with Pets for Patriots
to proudly serve our military families &
veterans. Hours are Tues.-Fri. 12-5 pm. Saturday
10-2 pm.

Through
a competitive process, the JCCF awards grants and scholarships to make our community
a better place. The Foundation is working so that Johnson County remains a viable
community where our children grow up and choose to stay to raise their families.
Through the power of endowments, the JCCF also helps donors realize their charitable
dreams.

Johnson County Roundup Club is a great club
for families to come together for fun &
club events with their horses. Join us at
the Johnson County Arena, located in Lamar.
We have a seasonal Play Night series for all
ages & horse breeds. We host Rodeo's &
Horse Shows and sponsor the JCRC Queen &
Princess competition every year. We have a
Quad Drill Team and ride in local parades
as a club. Member

Since
1999, we have been investing in local single
parent students who are working toward their
college degree while raising a family. We
depend on community support to fund scholarships
to Johnson County residents. Local funds
raised are matched-dollar for dollar-by
the Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund.

River
Valley Literacy Councils serving Pope, Yell
and Johnson Counties, recruits and trains
community volunteers to tutor adults aged
18 and over in basic literacy (reading) and
english as a second language. Member

of local people. Serving Johnson, Pope, and yell counties; 99 percent of funds
raised locally are invested in the local community through programs and agencies
